They were two-year-old David Smith, and four-year-old Shea Laverty.

Shea was due to celebrate his 5th birthday next week.

They reportedly climbed through a fence into a nearby house and got into difficulties in a disused swimming pool containing rainwater.

Post mortem examinations are expected to be carried out on their bodies this evening.
