FG seeks advice on road safety

A group of Fine Gael TDs is due to seek advice on road safety from the Institute of Advanced Motorists today.

Party leader Enda Kenny, transport spokesman Denis Naughten and youth affairs spokesman Damien English are due to attend the talks, which will take place on the fringes of a Fine Gael parliamentary party meeting in Kilkenny.

Yesterday the Government promised to allocate extra resources to road safety, but Mr English said he had little faith in the vow as previous promises from the coalition had come to nothing.
