Waterford-Limerick Junction line re-opens

Passenger services on the rail line between Waterford and Limerick Junction are due to resume tomorrow following the re-opening of a bridge damaged in a derailment last year.

Part of the line has been closed since the incident, which caused serious damage to the so-called Cahir Viaduct, a bridge in Co Tipperary.

The bridge is due to be officially re-opened by Transport Minister Seamus Brennan today.
