Search resumes for man missing off Galway coast
A search has resumed today for a crewman who was aboard a trawler that went aground on a small island off the Galway coast on Friday night.
John Dirrane from Inis Mór was on the 65-foot trawler, the Saint Oliver, which was being taken to the fishing port of Rossaveel when it struck rocks on Duck Island.
The emergency services were called on Friday night after heavy rain and gale force winds. The Saint Oliver was found split in two on rocks.
Yesterday, rescue teams recovered the bodies of three of the four crewmen.
