Nurses at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Co Louth, have begun working under protest as part of a dispute over staff levels in the out-patient department.

The nurses began the protest yesterday, claiming that numbers attending the out-patient department had increased by 84% in recent years without any increase in staff levels.
