Drivers to hold talks after bus strike
Drivers will meet with Dublin Bus management tomorrow after unofficial strike action disrupted travel in the west of the city.
The workers at a Dublin bus depot refused to operate services on certain bus routes this morning.
A spokeswoman said the service resumed after initial meetings between bus drivers and bosses at Dublin Bus.
She said the drivers had been due to operate from a new terminus at Pearse Street in the city centre.
The bus drivers had been working from a temporary terminal at Dublin’s Wood Quay following an horrific bus accident at Wellington Quay in which five people lost their lives.
The spokeswoman said: “It is extremely annoying as we have full agreement from the unions.”
The morning strike action affected nine bus routes servicing Chapilizard, Kilmainham, Celbridge, Maynooth, Lucan, Palmerstown and Leixlip.
