Irish employment rate slightly above EU average

Ireland’s employment rate is slightly above the European Union average, according to figures released today by the EU’s statistical agency.

Eurostat said the official employment rate among the 15-64 age group in Ireland was 65.4%, compared to an average of 63% throughout the 25 EU member states. Ireland’s employment rate was found to be the 10th highest in the EU.
