Tom Parlon to launch Heritage Week in Cork

Ireland's annual Heritage Week is now officially underway.

Ireland's annual Heritage Week is now officially underway.

It is being launched in Kinsale today by the Minister for State at the office of Public Works, Tom Parlon, who is urging people to attend events at their nearest heritage site.

Heritage Week is run in conjunction with European Heritage Days and sees events taking place right across the country.

Minister Parlon says that there will be something of interest to all and the events will play a key role in increasing tourist numbers around the country.
