Second person arrested in connection with Waterford murder
Two people have now been arrested in connection with the murder of a mother of two in Co Waterford.
A man was detained in the Wexford area this morning and a woman was arrested in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, around lunchtime.
They were taken to Tramore Garda Station, where they can be held for up to 12 hours. The body of 54-year-old Mary Walsh was found in the boot of a car in Waterford city centre yesterday.
She had been reported missing on Monday and is believed to have suffered injuries to her face and neck.
Ms Walsh was apparently carrying €10,000 in cash at the time of her disappearance. She was due to lodge the money in a bank on behalf of the insurance company she worked for, but never did so.
