FG demand explanation for sale of Shannon Airport land

Several acres of land belonging to Shannon Airport are to go under the auctioneer's hammer in two weeks time.

Fine Gael say the sale is being rushed through without proper consultation.

Deputy transport spokesperson for the party, Pat Breen, is questioning why the Government is selling its assets in the middle of the break up of Aer Rianta.

Deputy Breen is calling on the Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan, for an explanation.
