Two held over attempted robbery

Gardaí have arrested a male in his 30s and a female in her 20s in connection with an attempted robbery in Carnew, Co Wicklow earlier.

The two were apprehended in Dublin shortly before noon today, and can be held for up to 72 hours.

The male is being detained in Arklow Garda Station, and the female in Gorey Garda Station.
