Aer Lingus shop stewards to discuss planned lay-offs

SIPTU shop stewards at Aer Lingus are due to meet today to discuss the airline’s plan to shed 1,325 jobs.

The airline has offered the workers a generous redundancy package that would guarantee them a minimum pay-off of €40,000.
