Parents call for full public inquiry into organs retention
Parents of the deceased children whose organs were given to a pharmaceutical company for drug production, is calling for a full public inquiry into the practices of the hospitals involved.
Parents for Justice says the Minister for Health must establish whether or not the hospitals benefited financially from passing on the children’s' body parts.
Earlier, Beaumont Hospital said the international company, Pharmacia, had supplied it with information on the donation of organs by Jervis Street and Richmond hospitals in the 1980s.
