Man to face court on murder charge

A man was charged tonight with the murder of another man whose body was discovered in a house in Co Antrim.

The 34-year-old will appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court charged with killing Peter Gamble, who was found dead in a house in the Roddens area of Larne.

It is believed that Mr Gamble, who was also 34, may have died as a result of a domestic row.

Police said the dead man was involved in a confrontation with another man in the Roddens area yesterday around 1am.

He was taken to a nearby house where he later died. Police were called to the house at about 6am.

A woman and two young children live in the property.

A female witness was seen taken away in a police car yesterday to help with the investigation.

Detectives have ruled out any sectarian motive behind the killing.
