Man shot in chest at door of flat

Gardaí are tonight hunting three men after a 27-year-old man was shot in the chest at his home.

Officers in Fitzgibbon Street have appealed for information on the shooting at a flat in the Rory O’Connor house complex off Hardwicke Street in Dublin.

The man, whose condition is not believed to be life threatening, is recovering in the Mater Hospital.

The 27-year-old was shot once in the chest around 2am today after he answered a call to the door of his flat.
