Non-national found dead in Castleblaney flat

Gardaí in Monaghan are investigating the death of a non-national in the town of Castleblayney.

The body of the man, who was in his 30s, was found in a flat on Muckno Street last night.

The dead man is believed to be a Ukrainian who has been living in the area for more than three years.

The body was removed to Cavan Ganeral Hospital and State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has carried out a preliminary examination. A full post mortem is due to be carried out this afternoon.

Gardaí say there is no indication at this stage of foul play.
