Ahern, Blair to host NI summit in September

The British government’s Northern Ireland Office has confirmed that Tony Blair and Bertie Ahern will host a new round of talks on the peace process this September.

Preliminary discussions will take place in Belfast on September 1 and 2, followed by a summit involving Mr Blair and Mr Ahern between September 16 and 18.

The talks are designed to restore devolved government in the North, which has been suspended for almost two years.
