The device was found at the rear of the house on Coolfin Street at around 7.30am.

The incident has been linked to an ongoing campaign of racist attacks by loyalist paramilitaries in the area.

The Nigerian men who were renting the house are believed to have moved out after they were seen carrying suitcases in the street shortly after this morning’s alert.

Yesterday, A Bangladeshi family also left their home in nearby Fane St following a suspected loyalist petrol bomb attack.
