Two still critical after fatal Wicklow crash

Two people remain in a critical condition in hospital after a car crash in Co Wicklow, which left two men dead.

Two people remain in a critical condition in hospital after a car crash in Co Wicklow, which left two men dead.

The two-car collision happened on the N11 at Scratenagh Cross, in Arklow, shortly before 4pm yesterday afternoon.

Both of the victims were in their 50s.

Their bodies have been taken to Loughlinstown Hospital for a post mortem examination.

Five others were injured in the incident. One man and a woman are described as being in a critical condition.

The scene of the accident has been preserved for a technical examination.
