The Central Statistics Office has reported a 9.5% increase in the number of domestic trips undertaken by Irish people in the first quarter of this year.

The Central Statistics Office has reported a 9.5% increase in the number of domestic trips undertaken by Irish people in the first quarter of this year.

The CSO said Irish people took 1,585,000 domestic trips with at least one overnight stay between January and March 2004, compared to 1,447,000 in the same three-month period of 2003.
