The Committee on Court Practice and Procedure has made a series of recommendations relating to personal injuries compensation claims.

In a report commissioned by Justice Minister Michael McDowell, the committee has recommended that penalties be introduced for people who bring false or exaggerated claims and for people who cause delays in cases by, for example, introducing unnecessary expert witnesses.
