CIÉ accused of blocking Waterford quays development

The Waterford Port Company has accused CIÉ of holding the redevelopment of the city’s north quays to ransom by blocking the sale of a 13-acre site.

Company chairman and local councillor Ben Gavin has claimed that CIÉ has turned down an offer of €1m per acre for the site.
