Pattern holds in Referendum count
An 80%-to-20% split in favour of the Citizenship Referendum appears to be holding as more results come in.
The National Count centre has received 8.68% of the votes. Of those, 79.65% (207,964) voted for the Referendum, with 20.35% (53,134) against.
In Ulster, votes have been counted in Cavan and Monaghan. In Cavan, 80.77% (25,320) were in favour, with 19.23% (6,030) against. In Monaghan, 79.63% (23,868) were for, with 20.37% (6,107) against.
The same pattern is emerging as votes come in from Connacht (74.38% for and 25.62% against so far), Munster (79.63% for and 20.37% against) and Leinster (83.23% for and 16.77% against).
