Phone mast opponents to hold public meeting today

Several people who claim their health has been affected by mobile phone masts are due to hold a public meeting in Co Laois today to highlight their concerns.

The Irish Electromagnetic Radiation Victims Network (IERVN) has claimed that microwave emissions from mobile phone masts are making its members ill.

However, the claims have been rejected by the mobile phone industry, which says there is no evidence to show that masts damage health.
