Ireland to participate in European Car Free Day

Ireland has agreed to participate in this year’s European Car Free Day, which takes place on September 22.

Seventeen Irish towns and cities took part in the event last year.

Local authorities wishing to participate this year can apply for funding assistance to Sustainable Energy Ireland, a Government body set up to promote sustainable energy.

Applications must be made on or before this Friday.
