Ahern representing EU at G8 summit in US

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is representing the European Union at a G8 summit in the US state of Georgia today.

Rising oil prices, Third World debt, the Middle East and US President George W Bush’s plans for the future of Iraq are all on the agenda for the talks, which are taking place on the Sea Island resort.
