Man charged with Chinese woman's murder
A man has been charged with murdering a Chinese woman found dead in a car boot.
As detectives intensified their bid to find out the victim’s identity, the man, aged 25, was also accused of unlawful imprisonment.
Another 25-year-old man faces the same offence of imprisonment and further claims that he assisted offenders.
They are both due to appear before magistrates in Belfast tomorrow.
The woman’s body was discovered when police stopped a car at an Antrim Road filling station in north Belfast on Thursday.
Although no one has been able to confirm who she was, detectives believe she may have been known as Tina.
It is thought she may have travelled to Belfast from Dublin by bus last Monday.
Fears that the killing may have been linked to Far Eastern gangs have been ruled out by the inquiry team.
