Gang shoots man in Tyrone

A man is recovering today after a gang broke into his home and shot him.

Up to eight men were involved in the attack on the 21-year-old in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, late last night.

The group, armed with hurleys, broke into the house on Lisnahull Road at around 9pm.

They dragged the young man into the back yard and shot him in the leg and in the ankle.

The gang escaped in a car parked at the rear of the property.
