Police in the North have appealed for help from the Chinese community in identifying a Chinese woman whose body was found in the boot of a car in Belfast yesterday.

Two Chinese men are still being questioned in connection with the murder. The woman’s body was found in the boot of a car.

The car was stopped by police on the Antrim Road in north Belfast following reports of suspicious activity in the area.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Welfare Association in the North said today that the police had warned last week that a London-based Triad gang had moved into Belfast.

The Association said the gang’s operations included kidnapping people to be held for ransom.

It is unclear if this gang had anything to do with the young woman’s murder.
