Woman’s body found in car at PSNI checkpoint

Police in the North have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in the back of a car in north Belfast this morning.

The car had been stopped at a PSNI checkpoint on the Antrim Road.

Two men travelling in the car were arrested.

The checkpoint was one of a number erected following reports of suspicious activity involving a vehicle in the Skegoneill Avenue area at around 1am.
