Families evacuated in bomb scare
A number of people were evacuated from their homes as army bomb experts defused a crude device in west Belfast early today.
The security forces were called to Slemish Way in the Andersonstown shortly after 3am following a warning that a bomb had been left outside the Community Restorative Justice office.
The area was sealed off during the operation and a controlled explosion was carried out on the device. Its remains were removed for forensic examination.
Families evacuated from their homes during the incident have been allowed to return.
