Govt receives correspondence from Curtin lawyers
The Government is believed to have received correspondence from solicitors for Judge Brian Curtin in relation to the on-going efforts to impeach their client.
The content of the correspondence is not known.
Last Tuesday, the Government said it would give Judge Curtin’s legal team the opportunity to view a Dáil motion establishing a committee to investigate his conduct.
It gave the judge until today to respond to the motion, which is expected to be tabled in the Dáil tomorrow.
The Government is seeking to remove Judge Curtin from the bench following his acquittal on child pornography charges. The garda warrant used to search his house was out of date when it was used.
