Missing man’s body recovered from Lough Muckno

Divers in Co Monaghan have recovered the body of a man from Lough Muckno.

The man, who was named locally as David Needham, was reported missing early yesterday morning by a group of cross-channel anglers who he had arranged to meet.

His body was recovered at around 8.30pm last night following a day-long search of Lough Muckno.

Mr Needham, a widower in his 50s from Oxford in England, had moved to the area some time ago and lived in a mobile home near the lake shore.
