118 new gardaí graduating from Templemore

One hundred and eighteen new gardaí are graduating from the garda training college in Templemore, Co Tipperary, today.

Ninety of the new officers will be stationed in the Dublin area and 28 outside the capital.

Justice Minister Michael McDowell and Garda Commissioner Noel Conroy are in Templemore for the graduating ceremony and to open a new garda station in the town.
