Govt considering law change on garda speed guns

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has confirmed that the Government is examining the possibility of changing the law relating to the use of garda speed guns.

The move follows a recent court ruling where a speeding case was dismissed on the grounds that garda speed guns did not produce a written record of the speed detected.
