500,000 cigarettes seized in Rosslare

Custom officers at Rosslare Harbour have today seized 500,000 cigarettes worth over €150,000.

They were discovered in a concealed compartment of a truck which had been searched following its arrival from Cherbourg.

The Superkings, Regal and Sovereign brands that were discovered are believed to have been destined for the Northern Ireland market.
