Hauliers plan protest over fuel crisis
Transport operators have criticised the Finance and Transport Ministers for failing to meet with them to discuss the impending fuel crisis.
The Irish Road Haulage Association contacted both departments with a view to holding an urgent meeting to discuss the fuel prices that are crippling the industry, but received no response.
They now intend to stage a protest at Government buildings tomorrow.
Spokesperson Eamonn Morrissey said the Government must put an urgent plan in place to deal with the crisis and has forced them into taking this action.
