AIB pays €3.4m refunds for trusts overcharging

AIB is embroiled in further controversy this morning after admitting overcharging customers or the dependants of customers who held trusts with the bank before 1971.

AIB management confirmed yesterday that it had paid €3.4m in refunds and compensation to some of the customers affected.
