SIPTU slams 'derisory' building negligence fines

SIPTU’s construction branch has claimed that deaths and injuries in the building trade are not being treated seriously enough.

The union criticised recent court rulings that imposed "derisory" fines on employers for negligence leading to the death or injury of a worker.
