Competitive tendering could cost Bus Eireann €24m

A study into the impact of privatising bus services has reportedly found that Bus Eireann could face an additional cost of €24m if "competitive tendering" is introduced by the Government.

This figure is more than the total subsidy paid to the national bus company by the State in 2002.
