Seven arrested in connection with Dublin murder
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested seven people in connection with the gangland-style murder of a 40-year-old man earlier this year.
The five men and two women, all in their mid to late 20s, were arrested at their homes in Clondalkin and Ballyfermot between 7am and 8am today.
They are being questioned about the murder of Brendan Cox, who was shot dead at Clifton Drive in Ballyfermot on the evening of March 7.
He was shot twice in the back as he tried to flee his attacker and died a short time later in hospital.
