Ahern 'must discuss human rights' with Chinese Premier
Amnesty International has called on the Government to promote human rights during the visit of the Chinese Prime Minister to Dublin.
Trade and tourism are on the agenda for Wen Jiabao's first visit to Ireland.
Anne Marlborough of Amnesty International has demanded Bertie Ahern acknowledges the human suffering which exists in China.
Ms Marlborough said: "The Taoiseach, as President of the European Council, has a huge opportunity to present his concerns about human rights, the concerns of the Irish people and the concerns of the European people to the Chinese Premier."
