VFI seeks exemptions from workplace smoking ban

The Vintners Federation of Ireland has called on Health Minister Micheal Martin to introduce exemptions for pubs that have been badly affected by the workplace smoking ban.

The federation claimed small rural pubs and pubs in the border counties have suffered a significant drop in business since the ban came into effect on March 29.
