Rent rise 'increasing risk of poverty'

High rents in Ireland are putting people in the private rental accommodation sector at increased risk of poverty, according to the Combat Poverty agency.

The agency published a report today showing that private rent levels increased at a much higher rate than mortgage payments during the 1990s.
