Two die in road accidents over weekend

Road accidents this weekend have claimed the lives of two motorcyclists.

A woman in her 30s died yesterday afternoon when her motorbike collided with a car and a jeep on the N7 motorway near Monasterevin in Co Kildare.

Gardaí will name her today.

On Good Friday, 29-year-old Tony Cronin of Newpark in Kilkenny died when his bike hit an articulated lorry in Co Cork.

Jimmy Kenny of the Irish Motorcycle Action Group says other road users need to make sure they are being motorcycle-friendly.
