Data watchdog to target TDs and priests

Ireland’s information watchdog pledged today to target politicians this year.

Joe Meade, the Government-appointed Data Protection Commissioner, also reported the first prosecutions under the terms of recently-tightened legislation aimed at preventing the unauthorised use of personal details about individuals.
