Driver hitch could threaten postal deal
Another difficulty in the postal dispute could threaten the resumption of services.
A deal worked out at the Labour Relations Comission was to see all suspended staff return to work.
However, the company is refusing to reinstate 91 delivery drivers.
An Post is claiming that the drivers were not part of the compromise deal worked out at the LRC.
It is feared the difficulty could delay the resumption of postal services unless a resolution is found when both sides meet at the LRC today.
Sean McDonagh from the Communications Workers Union says if the postal service does not return to normal, it will not be the fault of the workers.
