Two injured in Sligo shooting attack

Two men have been injured, one seriously, in an overnight shooting incident in Sligo.

The pair presented themselves at Sligo General Hospital's casualty department last night.

It is understood they were travelling in their van near the Cranmore area at around 11.45pm when shots were fired at them.

The men then drove to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries. Gardaí have since launched an investigation into the shooting.
