The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland has criticised the Taoiseach’s attitude to EU regulations requiring a reduction in the working hours of Irish junior doctors.

Mr Ahern said recently that the State would be unable to comply with the terms of the working time directive before the August 2004 deadline.
