The National Women’s Council has reportedly threatened to seek a boycott of Bank of Ireland over its decision to invest in a British pornography distribution firm.

Reports this morning said the council had vowed to advise its members to close their accounts with the bank if it did not pull out of the investment.

Bank of Ireland has a 25% stake in the company Remnant, which recently acquired 45 magazine titles, including pornographic publications.
